Kenny Chesney's New Release - Greatest Hits II
The six-time ACM and six-time CMA award winner is still is going strong with an album released September 28, 2010. Hemmingway’s Whiskey is the Tennessean’s 14th Studio Album and he credits Country Superstar Guy Clark for the record. "I was sitting in my truck and a friend had given me Guy's album, which had just come out. It's a song that talks about living life to its fullest, being a man about your responsibilities and not compromising. As soon as I heard it, I knew I had to cut it -- and call the album that -- because it says everything about the way you live your life, and what life can be if you refuse to buy into limits, which, as someone who's read all his books, is everything Hemingway's novels revolved around."
Kenny, born in Knoxville, TN he grew up in the same small town that another famous country musician, Chet Atkins, was born in. Though he didn’t experience immediate success in his music, Kenny never gave up and played in Mexican Restaurants and by the time he graduated East Tennessee State University in 1991, he moved to Nashville. After signing with Capricorn Records, he released his debut album, In My Wildest Dreams and was soon noticed by bigger labels, namely RCA Records. In 1995 he hit two Top Ten Hits oh his All I need to know album. His follow up album “Me and You” was his first album to go gold. Eleven albums later and Chesney is still going strong as evidenced by his massive current tour.
